- The scholarship was made possible by a generous gift from Lt Col Kent Lattig. The scholarship was given to honor those who serve in the U.S. military. The scholarship goes to students who demonstrate a strong interest in becoming a military aviator, excel in academic performance (GPA of 2.5 or above), have notable leadership achievements, and no known reasons for disqualification from military flight training. The student must be in their second year of academic education or beyond for consideration.
